Active Acne & Acne Scar Treatment

About Acne

Acne is a skin condition that results when excess oil and dead skin cells are plugged into the hair follicles. It is more prominent in teens, but overall it affects persons of all ages.

There are successful acne treatments, but acne can be chronic. The pimples and bumps can last long & heal slowly after a certain age period, and some tend to pop up and some starts to clean up themselves eventually.

Why Consider Acne Treatment?

  • Excessive acne on the face
  • Scars that are formed after acne
  • Rough & Dull skin due to acne pigmentation
  • Avoid normal acne from becoming severe

Acne & scars can induce emotional discomfort to many of us, depending on how deep are the scars over the skin. The sooner you initiate acne treatment & facial acne treatment, the lower there are chances of complications like this.

Active Acne Treatment

For that, we have 2 techniques:

Acne Scar Treatment (Post Acne)

After acne is gone, scars are left behind. Most people who had heavy acne on their faces can’t get rid of scars. Therefore we have one of the latest advances in non-surgical skin rejuvenation treatments. Acne spots that are left after a few acne on the face can be efficiently treated with acne spot treatment.

Various types of acne treatments are available for acne scars. We can combine one of them with platelet-rich plasma therapy and laser therapy for superior results. CO2 Acne laser treatment is also available for the removal of skin tags, warts, corns, moles, ageing spots, comedones, etc which is non-invasive and causes very little or no discomfort.

For Acne scars, we have 2 treatments:

  1. CO2 Laser Treatment - CO2 treatment makes small microscopic holes in the deeper layers of the skin. This process leads to the generation of new, healthy collagen to smooth out the acne scars. Approximately 30-70% improvement of acne scarring is seen after one treatment, though results vary by the individual.

  2. Micro-Needling Or Derma Roller - Microneedling with a derma roller is a new treatment modality for the treatment of scars, especially acne scars, stretch marks, wrinkles, and facial rejuvenation. It is a simple and relatively cheap modality that also can be used for transdermal drug delivery.
