Psychology of being healthy : 15-Aug-2022
You’ve decided it’s time for a change. Perhaps you want to lose weight, maybe you want to feel fit and strong, or perhaps you just want to experience the buzz from those healthy lifestyle habits you see all over Instagram.
But, where do you start? And why is it so hard to start? The answer is simple – your MINDSET is the central factor that can either help you get or prevent you from achieving your goal!
In this blog we are going to explore how having a positive mindset can give one an advantage when wanting to stay dedicated and loyal to their goals of building good health habits, which will help boost up their confidence.
Your mind and your body are intimately connected. As a famous psychiatrist, Mr.Victor Frankl once said, "Between stimulus and response, there is a space. In dist space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom."
So, if you want to transform your body, you have to deal with your thoughts, your excuses, your beliefs, and any negative paradigms that are sabotaging you at every step along the way.
That’s your mindset. If you change your thinking then it may signal to your body that it is time to make changes as well.

Just as rivers carve out arteries over the course of millennia in their beds, we also get wired to certain patterns of behavior.
These subconscious neural pathways can be troublesome because they're hard to change and often they serve us for a reason (for better or worse).
Change isn't easy, but it relates to our ability to see then seize opportunities that bring joy and fulfillment. The good news is that change is possible!
If you do some work up-front; recent research around neuroplasticity shows that neurons can be changed so your old behavior becomes something useful instead of a bad habit.
Your thoughts affect your feelings and expectations. They influence your actions. Therefore, your actions and behavior, of course, affect outcomes.
If you can harness your mindset so it empowers you, rather than holds you back, then you will see the change you want. It starts with your mindset.

Habits are, much like anything in life, created over time. It takes some time to form any kind of habit whether good or bad – so don’t forget that trying to instantaneously change something will most likely be futile and cause you more stress than you need.
It starts with one small change leading up towards a bigger (and better) goal – which is how great habits are built! It’s always important to have a long-term constructive view on things because it can make the difference between success and failure when you're not looking for immediate results.

It’s your mind, your thoughts, your excuses, and no one else's! Recognize that these are entirely your own to be controlled by you alone.
When you can control your thoughts and accept responsibility for the actions that stem from them, you retain control of what you do with yourself and the destiny of where you're headed.
Today’s Try - Following good pages on Instagram adds good value to your life and vice versa.
Healthy lifestyle habits are created over time just as unhealthy ones are too. Given how some habits take years to form, it may seem overwhelming to start over. However, that doesn’t mean they can’t be broken!
People with a ‘fixed mindset’ will avoid trying new things until they become perfect at the current thing they do because of the risk of being exposed for not yet being ‘perfect’ enough.
People with a growth mindset are more likely to try new things in order to pursue achievements, mastery, and success - recognizing that becoming great is an iterative process and changes can happen quickly if you tweak your approach and keep trying (just as building a new habit does).

If you use support to change your lifestyle habits, it's important that the support person is like-minded and has an appreciation for the positive things about exercise and healthy eating.
Sometimes, someone who does not share your enthusiasm for these things can be a real downer to you.
If you can' t find someonefrom your real-life where you live, then social media is a great place to look at and connect with people who are dedicated to healthy habits!
Try - Sharing this blog to see who’s like-minded & it’ll also spark a conversation.
Take action right away! That is what will determine your future. The decisions you make today, tomorrow and the day after will determine how your life unfolds.
Let go of the past and focus on what you can do now to change your circumstances – instead of punishing yourself for things beyond your control think positively and take one small step forward toward a brighter future.

Your mindset is like your greatest weapon to lose weight, achieve a toned body, look great, and feel confident about your body shape and healthier dietary habits. It's never going to be easy to control all the "mental chaos" as it's sometimes referred to. However, you have the chance to work on this every day in order to become a master of your thinking - because what is achievable through your mind can be achieved if you wish it badly enough.
